Patient Forms
Upon entering our office, our receptionist will welcome you as a member of our family. We will request that you complete our patient forms located in the New Patient Center. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition.
Consultation
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Marinakis to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential care options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Angelo to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
Examination
After your consultation, Dr. Marinakis will perform a complete chiropractic examination to check your posture, range of motion and the tone and alignment of your spine. Tests will also be performed to ensure that chiropractic care is safe for you.
X-Ray Studies
Depending on your specific condition, X-rays may be recommended. Depending on your condition, X-rays can alert us of any underlying spinal conditions that may affect the technique used and the initial frequency for your chiropractic care. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.
Report of Findings
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, Dr. Marinakis will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:
- How can you help me?
- How often do I need to come in?
- What will my care cost?
Dr. Marinakis will also notify you if your condition requires care with other providers and will provide a personalized program for your needs.
Your First Chiropractic Adjustment
At the conclusion of this initial appointment, you can choose to experience your first chiropractic adjustment. Dr. Angelo will take care to ensure that your adjustments are safe, comfortable and maximally effective.
Self Care
Throughout the course of your care, Dr. Marinakis will offer recommendations for self care in order to assist your healing process. Recommendations may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches. Consistent follow through with self care recommendations will help you get the most out of your chiropractic care.
